Full stillingsbeskrivelse

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team as we are now expanding our product offerings. This is a new position within our organization, and the role will play an important part in shaping the professional testing practices in DI. As a Test Engineer at DI you will be part of our Lastmile team, which develops and maintains our route planning services and courier app. You will be an integral part of the development team, participating in our agile ceremonies and working closely with our POs, designers and developers. In addition, you will help integrate and shape a new testing step within our process to help us increase both the rate and quality of our releases.

We believe the right candidate is someone who enjoys exploring, adapting, and introducing new initiatives and processes within QA and testing, and who wants to make an impact on how we work with technology in DI. We believe this is someone who enjoys working with testing and debugging complex systems, who has the skills to dive deep into various stacks and can help engineers find the root cause of problems. We are looking for a person that can help foster and grow a testing first mindset within our organization.

What you will do:

  • Take charge and be responsible for QA and testing within the product team.
  • Test user stories, ultimately shortening the feedback cycles on ongoing work.
  • Enable quality assured and efficient releases by helping POs test across our systems.
  • Help outlining and maintaining accessibility and non-functional requirements as part of our frontend testing.
  • Collaborate with our developers to transition our testing process from manual to more automated testing.
  • Help maintain system documentation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience with common development technologies, such as:
    • Test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Appium or similar).
    • CI and CD practices, using tools such as Github Actions or Jenkins.
    • Version Control (Github, Bitbucket or similar).
    • Debugging complex systems, from browser to logs.
    • Understanding of development cycles/best practices.
  • Higher education in Information Technology or related fields.
  • 3+ years experience in testing or quality assurance roles.
  • Fluency in both Norwegian and English.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in development and is proficient with at least one programming language.
  • Experience with cloud providers, such as AWS.
  • Experience with accessibility testing and using tools such as Voiceover, JAWS or similar.

We offer:

  • Competitive terms.
  • Great pension and insurance plans.
  • Central Oslo office location (Akersgata 55).
  • Flexible work arrangement.
  • Learning and development budget.
  • Engaging and intellectually stimulating projects.
  • A welcoming and inventive atmosphere.
  • Social activities such as gaming communities, team-building activities, after-work beers, dinners, and much more.

We're a group of curious individuals who enjoy collaborating to solve our customers' problems and are looking for someone to help us perfect this. If you love breaking things to make them better and enjoy working with developers to build high-quality products, we’d love to hear from you.
