Star Information Systems AS is looking for a Quality (QA) Manager in Norway.

Star Information Systems (STAR) is a global Enterprise Asset Management system (CMMS/PMS) provider for the Energy and Maritime Industry. Working with us, you will be part of the STAR Team with high competence across technologies and disciplines, an optimistic spirit, and willpower.

We seek a Quality Manager to join our STAR Team in Trondheim, Norway.

Job Description

As our QA Manager, you will develop and improve our quality and management system by establishing and revising internal routines and procedures. Further, you will ensure that our quality and management system is implemented, made known in the organization, and adhered to.


  • Establish annual quality plans and ensure they are implemented.
  • Be a driving force for continuous improvement and transfer of experience.
  • Follow up on unwanted incidents both internally and with the customer.
  • Ensure that deviations and suggested improvements are registered and receive sufficient attention.
  • Carry out RCA – root cause analysis – and work actively to learn from deviations.
  • Be responsible for all inspections and audits, both internal and external.
  • Participate in project- and tender work as Quality Manager. Support project managers with quality activities in the projects.
  • Support the general manager with preventive risk management for the business area.
  • Contribute so that our products and services meet our and our customer’s quality expectations.
  • Contribute to our products and services to comply with current norms, regulations, and class requirements.
  • Quality work in both delivery and development projects.
  • Contribute to our processes and actively contribute to improving quality in all parts of the value chain.
  • Establish and report on relevant key performance indicators.

Professional skills

  • Technical education at master level or equivalent.
  • Good technical understanding of high-quality software development and service delivery.
  • Experience from successful quality improvement projects in organizations providing Software as a Service.

  • Bachelor / Master Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-8 years experience as QA /or Process Manager from relevant business segments.

Working language: Norwegian and English.
