Orkla House Care is 100% owned by Orkla ASA. Orkla House Care is the leading provider of brushes, rollers and other painting tools. Including relevant consumables such as sanding, tape, protection gear and cleaning equipment. The main markets are the Nordic countries, Benelux and the UK. The main proprietary brands are Jordan, Harris, Anza, Spekter, SAM and Hamilton. Sales are mainly through traditional paint shops and trade merchants. The business has around 750 employees and the total business has a turnover of approximately 1,5 billion Norwegian kroner. Most of the products are self-produced and distributed through Bankeryd in Sweden, and Bromsgrove in the UK. The head office is at Skøyen in Oslo.

Brand Manager for Orkla House Care

As a Brand Manager at OHC, with a primary focus on the Jordan brand, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our shared goals. The Jordan brand has a long and proud history in the Norwegian market, and in this role, you will have the opportunity to further develop our brand communication towards consumers.
You will be responsible for developing and executing brand strategies to increase brand awareness, drive customer engagement, enhance market differentiation, and support business growth. Your tasks will include creating and implementing comprehensive brand activities and promotions that align with our business objectives and market opportunities. We are a positive team working together to achieve our goals, and we are looking for someone who is motivated by learning and success.

Key tasks will include:
  • Brand Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies that align with business objectives and market opportunities. Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior.
  • Brand Identity and Positioning: Define and maintain the brand’s identity, ensuring consistency in visual and verbal communication across all channels. Develop brand positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across traditional and digital channels to enhance brand awareness, drive customer acquisition and retention, and foster loyalty, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to achieve strategic brand KPIs
  • Digital marketing: Optimize SEO and SEM: Implement strategies to improve search engine visibility through search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM), ensuring the brand appears prominently and that the communication aligns with the brand strategy.
  • Launches: Lead the concept development work for new promotions, product, service or other innovations, including planning, execution, and post-launch analysis. Ensure all communication aligns with the brand’s values and positioning.
  • Market Dynamics: understanding the market landscape, including consumer behavior, competitor analysis, and industry trends.
  • Data Analysis: Utilizing data analytics to measure the effectiveness of brand marketing activities, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify areas for optimization. Always measure success through the impact of brand and trade marketing activities on sales performance, including metrics such as revenue growth, market share, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Budget Management: Manage the brand marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve brand objectives. Track and report on budget performance, adjusting as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively collaborates with sales, marketing, product development, and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of brand marketing initiatives with broader business strategies.

We are looking for candidates with the following background and skills:
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field/subject e.g. Business or Marketing. Relevant experience can compensate for the lack of formal education.
  • 2-3 years relevant experience from brand work
  • Experience from digital marketing and/or media planning is beneficial
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, positioning, and marketing principles
  • Ability to inspire and motivate team members, encourage collaboration, and drive results through effective delegation and guidance
  • Creative thinking with the ability to develop innovative marketing ideas
  • Proficient in using marketing analytics tools and platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
