Are you an experienced Engineering Manager, who thrives in an international team of deeply engaged engineers and wants to contribute actively to the green transition?
If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Energy department as our new Senior Engineering Manager and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.
Your new role
As our new engineering manager, you will be part of a growing team of highly competent people in Norway.
We deliver studies, FEED and detail engineering solutions to customers across the energy industry in Norway and globally. Our market segments include hydrogen and e-fuels, biofuels, waste-to-energy, CCS and wind. .
As an engineering manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure delivery of a design solution in line with customer expectations (quality, time and cost) and Rambøll requirements and best practices.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Leading a multidisciplinary engineering team to meet project objectives.
- Managing technical requirements and engineering scope of work
- Managing technical interfaces between engineering disciplines (internal / external)
- Supporting the project manager in ensuring that the project activities are planned and executed.
- Planning and leading interdisciplinary design meetings and design reviews
- Promoting the exploration and development of opportunities to improve the
- sustainability of the solution, in line with customer requirements.
- Identifying and managing changes to the design and / or scope of work in collaboration with the Project Manager and/or Change Manager
- Actively supporting our business development function in client meetings and tender preparation.
- Managing and leading technical discussions with the client.
- Managing the external design approval process, if required.
- Supporting competence development of the design team.

About you

Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.
These include:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in related disciplines or equivalent
- Min. 10+ years of experience managing and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in energy projects.
- Preferably experience from hydrogen, Power-to-X (ammonia, e-fuels) or bio-energy plants. Candidates with experience from oil & gas projects will also be considered.
- Strong multidiscipline system knowledge
- Good team communication skills and ability to delegate.
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude, structured and analytical mindset.
- Good English and Scandinavian language skills – both verbal and written
- Residence in Norway
