The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity in our Sales team as we expand our global presence. This exciting role will drive growth across Scandinavia our flagship region, at a pivotal time for Geoteric.

As a Sales Account Manager, your focus will be on strengthening relationships and expanding opportunities within existing accounts, particularly in the G&G (Geology and Geophysics) domain. Leveraging your knowledge of subsurface players in Norway, you will nurture long-term partnerships and close complex sales opportunities.

You will follow a defined strategy to engage key clients, working closely with the Business Development Geoscientist, our Investors and the global sales team to align efforts and leverage technical expertise to drive revenue.

Success will depend on your ability to engage with clients in the G&G domain, communicate the Geoteric value proposition, increasing the sales pipeline and closing opportunities in short timeframes. A key aspect of this role is account management, including developing and executing key account plans to drive long-term partnerships. This part of the role involves delivering growth strategies tailored to client needs, ensuring sustainable revenue growth and customer success. As with most sales positions, hunting new logos and seeking new opportunities will, of course, also be required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong record of seismic interpretation software sales, be proactive, tenacious, and skilled in consultative selling, with the drive and enthusiasm to close high-value deals, expand the sales pipeline within strategic accounts, and leverage experience across asset groups in the subsurface market in Norway.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quarterly and annual territory sales targets.

  • Close existing opportunities with short sales cycles while building pipeline in the region

  • Articulate the differentiated value proposition and adapt to clients’ needs through value-based selling.

  • Define and execute account plans for growth in existing accounts.

  • Identify and establish Geoteric’s position with new logos.

  • Increase Geoteric’s market penetration in assigned accounts, develop and nurture key relationships.

  • Increase awareness within existing accounts, achieve senior-level exposure and buy-in to create a collaborative relationship.

  • Maintain and update the CRM system with sales activities.

  • Prepare software and services proposals and quotes, deliver to the client and negotiate to close.

Personal Profile

  • Demonstrable success in growing existing accounts.

  • Excellent customer engagement skills, particularly an ability to establish new customer relationships, with decision-makers as well as technical experts.

  • Recent experience working in the territory, with a strong industry network.

  • You should have a strong interest in digital evolution, AI, and its application to subsurface technology.

  • Experience in developing a strategic sales process to deliver significant growth in targeted accounts.

  • Preferred: Fluency in Norwegian for communication with Norwegian-speaking clients or teams

  • Highly motivated and innovative individual with a willingness and ability to travel.

  • Educated to degree level in a Geosciences or related Earth Sciences discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in selling geoscience software applications or services, to E&P companies of all sizes..

Relationships

This role reports to the VP of Sales – EAME. You will be supported by a local Business Development Geoscientist and you will liaise closely with the regional sales and geosciences teams.


Location & Travel

The regional office is centrally located in Stavanger
