There is an immediate opening for the role of Sales Representative for ARO supporting Norway.


In this role, he/she will report to the Manager of Distribution Sales over our Scandinavia, Baltics & Netherlands region, and will be responsible for establishing market presence for Ingersoll Rand's ARO brand and products in Norway through outgoing customer activities (primarily sales calls and customer visits), customer management and business development activities that will establish and grow our market share and expand our customer base.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve sales targets set for region on annual basis
  • Develop and grow profitable sales for the ARO Business through direct sales in Norway
  • This role is “outside sales” so frequent travelling within Norway is required (60% working time).
  • Grow the business by identifying, contacting and visiting new prospects and end users in Norway, identify new opportunities, applications or potential key accounts
  • Prepare technical solutions, support and quotes to customers with help from manager and sales enablement team.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Introduce and follow new products or local initiatives
  • Identify market opportunities and develop initiatives/ solutions to address our Norway growth initiative.
  • Interface with Order management, Marketing, Engineering, Sales Enablement or Product management to solve eventual issues
  • Analyze the market trends and provide conclusions to Sales Leader
  • Provide planning, reports, opportunity descriptions and business cases to Sales Leader
  • Implement sales & promotions programs

FORMAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate from a technical school and/or technical work experience .

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Self-motivated and ability of independent sales activity.
  • Willingness and ability to learn technical skills required to be successful in sales of ARO products (pumps and accessories)
  • Strong communication skills to interface at all levels in the market in Norway.
  • Experience in sales with technical products to end users is a plus.
  • Good Knowledge and understanding of the pump market, Chemical Processing Industry, oil and gas or general industry is a plus
  • Good ability to explain and present technical information.
  • Ambitious, enthusiastic and persistent
  • Committed, engaged and reliable
  • Achievement-oriented and willing to put a high level of effort to produce results in a fast-paced team environment
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment that is dynamic and evolving
  • Demonstrated qualities of creative approach to problem solving
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Flexible. Willingness to travel 60% working time
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English
