About the position

Oslo University Hospital, the largest hospital in Norway with over 20,000 employees, is a leading contributor to biomedical research. We are excited to announce an available Postdoctoral Researcher position in Epitranscriptomics with project leader Yanjiao Li within Arne Klungland Lab. This lab is affiliated with the Centre for Embryology and Healthy Development (CRESCO), University of Oslo. This lab is also affiliated with the Centre for Embryology and Healthy Development (CRESCO), University of Oslo. CRESCO is a Norwegian Centre of Excellence consisting of an interdisciplinary team of researchers specializing in epigenetic and epitranscriptomic modifications, DNA repair and genome (in)stability, and single-cell/nucleotide analysis, with a focus on cancer and embryology research.

Research Project Overview:

The project seeks to explore novel RNA modifications and their roles and mechanisms in cancer initiation and progression, utilizing our state-of-the-art epigenetic/epitranscriptomic methods (Nature, 2016; Nature Genetics, 2020; Nature Structural & Molecular Biology, 2023; Nature Biotechnology, 2023), these methods promise groundbreaking insights into oncogenic processes in small samples like early embryos and cancer biopsies.
We are looking for a skilled Postdoctoral Researcher with expertise in RNA-seq and multi-omics data analysis. Candidates should be proficient in programming languages such as Python and/or R and have a background in Biology, Computational Biology, or Bioinformatics.
