About the position
We are currently looking for two temporary Adventure Specialists to join the Norrøna Adventure team – one for Norrøna Adventure INT and one for Norrøna Adventure NOR. As an Adventure Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our customers' outdoor experiences. You will be responsible for planning unforgettable adventures, guiding participants through stunning landscapes, and ensuring they have the best equipment and support for every step of their journey. Your responsibilities will include managing the logistics and coordination of a diverse portfolio of Norrøna Adventure tours, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with our Customer Relations team, providing exceptional support to customers when needed, ensuring their overall experience exceeds expectations.
The role with Norrøna Adventure INT involves planning and selling international adventure trips.
The role with Norrøna Adventure NOR involves organizing travel experiences within Norway and requires relevant experience from the Norwegian tourism industry—such as hotel operations, itinerary planning, or tour coordination.
Main areas of responsibilites
- Adventure Planning: Design and curate a variety of outdoor adventures, for example hiking, skiing, and climbing, tailored to different skill levels and interests
- Customer Engagement: Support the Customer Relations team in delivering outstanding customer support by helping clients with trip selections, gear recommendations, and creating personalized itineraries
- Expert Knowledge: Stay informed about safety practices, and local terrain to offer knowledgeable advice and guidance
- Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from participants, guides and local partners to continually enhance our adventure offerings and customer experience
- Marketing: Participate on marketing events and/or hold lectures for your tour portfolio
Qualifications
- Passion for the outdoors and a deep understanding of adventure activites. Being an experienced traveler is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong administrative skills, with ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language
- Solid business acumen and commercial understanding of P&L, margins, and efficient operational processes
