Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:
We are looking for a R&D Manager oil & gas to join our site in Drammen. Reporting directly to the Electrification R&D VP.
Responsibility:
As the R&D manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of all factory products. This includes ensuring that materials are tested and approved, designs meet all relevant standards, and documentation and certification are completed by third parties (ABS and DnV). Additionally, you will manage costing and routing within the factory.
Your main tasks:
-
Lead engineering team including lab.
-
Secure manning and competence development in engineering team.
-
Secure correct setting of product standard cost yearly.
-
Product development within O&G business.
-
Coordinate product development with sales/product management for priorities.
-
Technical support to product management.
-
Issue technical notes, declarations and statements.
-
Process engineer support on deviation on products in factory to determine root causes.

Analyse customer claims in cooperation with Quality to determine root causes.
-
Coordinate type testing regularly to monitor performance over time.
-
Certify and regularly recertify all products.

Budgets and investments
-
Participate in national (NEK) and international (IEC) standardization committees.

Technical support for sales including participation in customer meetings and trade fairs.

Technical support of customers
You are the right fit if you are:

Fluent in English and
-
Master's degree or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, or material sciences.
