Position: Executive Chef

As Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel’s kitchen, managing all aspects from breakfast through to evening service, including restaurant operations and banquets. This role requires flexibility, as it involves working throughout the day, evenings, and weekends. The ability to adapt to varying service hours is essential for success in this position.

In addition to your culinary expertise, you should have a strong focus on managing evening à la carte service, as this is a key part of the role. You will need to be well-versed in high-volume, high-quality dinner service and ensure that standards are consistently met.

You should also have a strong understanding of efficient kitchen operations, financial management, and excellent organizational skills to manage your daily responsibilities effectively.

We are looking for a leader who can motivate and inspire a team with a blend of strong leadership, a positive attitude, creativity, and passion for the culinary arts. Whether you bring years of experience or are a rising talent with fresh ideas, your ability to manage a kitchen and collaborate with a diverse team will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control for both à la carte and banquet services.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the kitchen team to ensure the highest standards of food quality and service are maintained, especially during evening à la carte service.
  • Be an active member of the hotel’s leadership team, collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, while also achieving budget goals.
  • Manage the ordering and inventory of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
  • Bring creativity and innovation to the development of new dishes and presentation concepts.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Executive Chef with a strong track record in managing evening à la carte services.
  • Professional culinary qualifications, including a chef’s certification, with expertise in menu design, food preparation, and cost control.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure, particularly during evening service, while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to create a motivated and cohesive team.
  • A team player with a passion for inspiring others to perform at their best.
  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to contribute wherever needed.
  • Strong references from previous employers.
