We are seeking a highly practical, skilled and experienced Mechatronics / Mechanical Engineer to join our team at 4Subsea. As a key member of our Instrumentation teams, you will be responsible for designing products and 3d models. And we believe you have insight into machine design which also include reading and producing technical documentation. The role reports to Engineering Manager. Below are some more details about the role you may find is written “ME” on!

What responsibilities are within the role:

• Own and drive product / project documentation like BOMs, specifications, drawings, wiring diagrams, topology drawings, test procedures and reports.
• Participate and drive technical aspects of project work, services and development related to monitoring of flexible pipes, cables, dynamic risers, and structures within the oil, gas, drilling, and wind industry.
• Follow up of technology qualification of designs.
• Design and lead modelling of subsea products and 3d models, drawings, and specifications
• Follow up of sub suppliers.

What we appreciate of qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering. Relevant work experiences may compensate for formal education.
• Documented practical experience of mechanical & electrical design.
• Extensive experience using CAD systems, preferably in the CREO Parametric with Windchill.
• Insight into machine design including reading and producing technical documentation.
• Knowledge of oil and gas requirements.
• Creative in solving problems – and able to suggest and develop new methods / ways of working.
• Knowledge of API 17F highly appreciated.
• Clear communicator – oral and written – in both English and Norwegian
