Full stillingsbeskrivelse

At Airthings, we develop award-winning technology that empowers people to take control of their indoor air quality. We've sold over one million devices globally – and we're just getting started.

Now, we’re looking for a sharp, hands-on engineer who will take full ownership of how we build and test our products. You'll work at the intersection of R&D, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and our manufacturing partners to make our processes faster, smarter, and more scalable.

This is a role for someone who thrives on solving real-world engineering challenges while shaping long-term manufacturing strategy.

A role with real responsibility – and even more potential

This is not your typical test and production role. You’ll be trusted to:

Design and develop test systems for new and existing products – primarily electronics
Optimize production workflows to reduce costs, boost throughput, and improve quality
Analyze manufacturing yield data and translate insights into action
Ensure products are designed for manufacturability, testability, and assembly
Own the compliance process – plan, document, and coordinate with test houses
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively
Build and maintain strong relationships with external manufacturing partners
Continuously improve documentation, test cases, and production processes

We imagine you bring:

  • A degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering – or similar
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or test engineering role
  • Familiarity with schematics and PCB layouts, with a focus on testability
  • Strong Python skills and experience writing and optimizing test cases
  • A deep understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset – and the ability to drive projects independently
  • Fluency in English (Norwegian is a plus)
  • Willingness to travel internationally 1–2 times per year

What we offer at Airthings:

  • A meaningful mission – improve health through smarter air
  • A role that blends strategic thinking and technical execution
  • A fast-growing, award-winning company headquartered in Oslo
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
  • Learning and development support to help you grow
  • Hybrid work opportunities and a collaborative team culture
  • A flat structure where your voice and ideas matter
  • A chance to shape the future of clean tech and indoor air quality

We Dare, Love and Focus – and we’d love for you to join us.
