Are you ready to be at the forefront of deploying and managing advanced Azure-based data solutions in the dynamic global shipping industry? As a Data Engineer at G2 Ocean, you will develop robust and scalable data pipelines and storage systems tailored to meet the unique challenges of global maritime operations.

About the Role: Join our team of 4 BI Developers and 4 Full-Stack Developers who are passionate about turning complex data sets into clear, actionable insights that drive better decision-making across the organization. You’ll collaborate with international teams, leveraging Azure technologies to enhance data-driven decision-making across continents. Your work will ensure high data quality and consistency, vital for our fast-paced, global shipping environment.
Additionally, you’ll lead the integration of diverse systems, ensuring seamless data flow while maintaining stringent data security and compliance standards.

Who We’re Looking For: We seek a positive, systematic problem solver who thrives on critical thinking. You are a humble team player with excellent communication skills. You likely have a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and several years of experience in a data engineering role.

Skills and Expertise:
  • Proficient in SQL with some experience in scripting languages.
  • Strong experience with Azure cloud services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory,
Azure Databricks, etc.).
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
