We are seeking a talented and ambitious Head Chef to lead our culinary team at a prestigious hotel in Norway. This is a unique opportunity for a chef with international experience to not only uphold our high standards but also bring a personal touch to our menus.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a kitchen team of 20-30 professionals.
Innovate and adjust menu offerings in alignment with the hotel's standards and guest preferences.
Ensure the highest levels of food quality, consistency, and hygiene.
Train and develop kitchen staff, promoting continuous professional growth.
Collaborate with management to enhance guest satisfaction and streamline kitchen operations.
Requirements:
Lead and manage a kitchen team of 20-30 professionals.
Innovate and adjust menu offerings in alignment with the hotel's standards and guest preferences, particularly for large-scale events such as weddings and conferences.
Ensure the highest levels of food quality, consistency, and hygiene.
Expertly manage buffet setups, ensuring an appealing presentation and efficient service.
Train and develop kitchen staff, promoting continuous professional growth.
Collaborate with management to enhance guest satisfaction and streamline kitchen operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, or a Sous Chef ready to step into a Head Chef role.
Strong leadership skills and experience managing a sizeable team in a high-volume, international hotel restaurant environment.
Creative culinary skills with the ability to adapt and innovate menus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to exceptional guest service.
Experience working in Michelin-starred restaurants is highly regarded but not essential.
Deep understanding of buffet service dynamics, especially in the context of large events and gatherings.
The location is skiing resort in Trysil municipality, 3 hours of driving away from Oslo.
