Position Description


QIAGEN has an exciting new vacancy for an Account Manager in Norway, preferably living in the Oslo area. Our sales team works with customers, primarily within academia, diagnostic labs, and labs for applied testing, to facilitate a customer-centric service and provide them with Sample to Insight solutions. We are looking for an Account Manager to drive and grow sales across the QIAGEN portfolio in Norway.

The Account Manager will be key in shaping and aligning customer requirements with the ideal QIAGEN solutions. You will be responsible for protecting, growing and proactively searching for new business within the territory for Life Sciences.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain contact with existing customers as well as develop new customers in order to achieve or exceed sales objectives.
  • Achieve or exceed objectives by actively selling to end users primarily at customer sites. Develop a working knowledge of current and potential activities that may affect revenues; attend sales meetings.
  • Regularly report and forecast relevant market figures for sales management and organise and support at seminars and conferences.
  • Act as a champion for certain business areas.
  • Utilize the CRM database to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness and aid sales.

Position Requirements

  • Strong scientific background – ideally qualified to MSc level or higher in a Life Science subject with a proven aptitude for laboratory techniques. Knowledge in molecular biology.
  • Sales experience within Life Science business is preferable.
  • Fluent Norwegian and English essential, with excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills at all business levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in collaboration with field sales representatives and application specialists and with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Willingness and availability to travel to visit customers up to 80% including occasional overnight travel. Travel will be mostly in Norway but also in Europe/Nordic regions for trainings and sales meetings; Driving license essential.
