I started at a young age working for Synsam, and I have been in the business for nine years. It has been a great experience for me to learn how to communicate with different customers and also how to negotiate products that I had to buy in for the store from the sellers.
I enjoyed creating a loyal relationship with the customers that came into the store, and getting out of my “comfort zone” and be able to assist the customers to find the right frame and answer all their questions regarding their eyes, lenses etc.
I remember that the hardest part for me was my first day at work, I had no idea what to do or what to expect, I just got pushed into helping a female customer that was looking at some frames by my boss. However, this helped me to not be afraid of reaching out to customers, and also to be able to listen and communicate correctly to satisfy the needs of what the customers are looking for.
