Productive workplace, friendly environment
As a volunteer, I was appointed to work at Fretex for about 2-3 hours a week. I went to the store directly after school hours (15:15), signed in and was assigned a task/tasks to do for the day. This often included tagging/pricing, cleaning, arranging items, shelving or using my creativity for the store's themes.
By working there, I learned how to be productive in such a short amount of time, as well as learn about the global issues and importance of the shop. I also picked up on useful skills (cleaning etc.), which is why I find myself a good candidate for similar jobs.
As for management, the store lacked high control. However, it was an easy-going and friendly environment which was open to any suggestions, ideas and tasks.
My employee was English-speaking and was well connected with students of the International School. She was friendly, communicative and helpful.
Overall, the job was not very challenging, therefore I do not find any of the aspects difficult. However, the most enjoyable part is using creative skills to help attract customers to the store.
