As a service professional at Accelleron you can work every day with the maintenance of our customers' Turbo Chargers on board their ships.

Let us take you briefly into a day of an Accelleron service engineer:

Your day starts early in the morning, at 6 PM you are getting in your company car and drive off to the port in Bergen. After a cup of coffee with your team you check on your mobile phone for which job you have been scheduled. For today’s job you are working with three more colleagues on the exchange of two A// turbo chargers on a container vessel. As you enter the quay, you see her laying there, this impressive 400-meter bulk carrier that you will be working on, removing two A// turbo chargers for complete overhaul. The total work of removing and reinstalling both turbochargers need to be completed within 4 days before the vessel sales back out to sea. After arrival on the vessel, you get in contact with the chief engineer and the crew vessel to discuss the situation in the engine room. Before starting with the removal of the turbochargers, you and your team need to make sure that the work can be done safe, therefor you always perform a last-minute risk assessment. The crew members have already performed preparation activities by removing the insulation upon your arrival on the vessel. By lunch time you and the team have already removed the first cartridge group. During the break you hear interesting stories from the Filipino crew about their sea journeys. After the break the job continues and around 2PM both cartridges are ready to be lifted off the ship and taken into the workshop in Bergen. There you and your colleagues will do the complete overhaul, making the Turbocharger 100% as it was coming new out of one of our A// factories. You drive home with a smile, as it was again a rewarding day, with lots of fun with your colleagues.
