We are looking for a On-Demand IT Support Technician in Molde, Norway.

The On-Demand IT Support Technician is responsible for providing essential support for hardware, software, and application issues as they arise. This role involves responding to on-demand calls, diagnosing problems, and implementing quick fixes or workarounds. The technician will document all interventions and communicate effectively with us to ensure resolution. This position is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of IT support and a customer-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to on-demand support requests for troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and application issues.
  • Document all support activities and interactions in a simple ticketing system.
  • Perform basic installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting for Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and standard desktop applications.
  • Provide basic support for desktop and laptop hardware issues.
  • Assist with basic network connectivity and workstation issues as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication with users regarding the status of their issues and resolutions.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further IT certifications or education is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems (Windows 10 and Windows 10) and Microsoft Office.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and troubleshooting.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Good communication skills and a strong orientation towards customer service.
  • Flexibility to work on-demand and adapt to varying workloads.
  • This role is designed to be more accessible to those with foundational IT skills and focuses on providing reactive, on-demand support to address immediate user needs.
