We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Financial Controller to join our Financial Quality and Assurance team. In this position, you will work with a variety of tasks within IFRS, financial and tax, and internal control for financial reporting on a Nordic level.

As the Senior Financial Controller, you will contribute to delivering accurate and timely representation of the bank’s financial performance in accordance with laws and regulations, as well as maintaining the internal control framework for the bank (ICFR). You will be handling complex IFRS, accounting, and transactions matters and providing concrete solutions to these. The role also entails being an important partner to the FQ&A Leader and Head of Accounting Control.

To thrive in this role, we are looking for someone who is comfortable taking the lead and who likes to work in a fast-paced environment.

Main activities:

  • Subject matter expert for SOX
  • Ensure complete implementation of corporate SOX scope
  • Ensuring that the Bank complies with IFRS and Nordic accounting legislation and regulations in internal and external reporting
  • Consult and advise on accounting and ICFR matters
  • Drive improvements, standardization, and process efficiency
  • Contribute to the continuous development of the annual report, including improvement of processes, ensuring deadlines are met, and working closely with other stakeholders
  • Monitor trial balance through control activities and analytical procedures

Competence and skills:

  • Solid knowledge of IFRS
  • Understanding of internal control/SOX regulation
  • Independently driven, but collaborative and easy to work with
  • Self-starter, quick learner, and flexible team player
  • You enjoy driving change and improvement initiatives
  • Responsible, accountable, and able to prioritize and manage workload
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Solid in written and spoken English, proficiency in one of the Nordic languages is required


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience or from a similar position


  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, or Finance. Other experience may compensate for educational requirements.
