VP, Strategic Accounts for Promon
On behalf of Promon, we are seeking a VP, Strategic Accounts who is eager to play a crucial role in a globally recognized leader in app security solutions. In this role, you will scale and accelerate a dynamic team dedicated to forging significant partnerships with premier clients across the US and EMEA regions.

Your strategic vision will guide discussions with major industry players, enhancing relationships that bolster Promon's market position. As a key figure in their strategic account selling program, you will develop effective strategies that maintain Promon's standing as a pioneering force in the app security industry.

The position
In the role of VP, Strategic Accounts, you will be entrusted with the pivotal position in shaping the strategic direction of their sales division. The primary objective of the role will be to drive sales growth by aligning Promon’s resources with market opportunities and customer needs. You will be responsible for identifying and targeting strategic customers, as well as determining the most relevant geographic areas for their sales efforts. Furthermore, you will collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives. You will drive the execution of this sales plan, identify new business opportunities, and expand the company’s presence in the enterprise market. A particular focus will moreover be on developing complex, strategic accounts and partnering with internal and external ecosystems to ensure successful deal execution.

The VP will drive a high-performing, collaborative, and ethical sales culture, ensuring ongoing sales success. You will continually drive change and transformations across the sales organization, including performance, planning, data analytics, systems, and sales process improvements, while maintaining a high-growth agenda. Additionally, you will provide commercially focused input to support the Executive Leadership Team’s decision-making process. Finally, the VP will build a strong appreciation of the competitive market, keeping abreast of key trends, predictions, and activities to ensure the sales organization has strong professional relationships with key influencers.

Your main areas of responsibilities will thus include:

  • Maximize and strengthen Promon’s long- and short-term strategic sales efforts.
  • Elevate and scale, identify their segments, categories, and geographical reach.
  • Enable the global sales team to secure the desired Tier1 customers.
  • Direct and align internal teams and stakeholders around a common strategic sales process, maximizing efforts and flow.
  • Build a world-class sales organization that understands value selling and the complex nature of Tier1 customers.
  • Guide, coach and upscale Account Executive’s and sales teams, and join in on customer meetings on-site or virtually.

You will refer to Chief Revenue Officer, Jacques Soelberg, with a preferred location in the Nordics and a travel expectation of 30%.

Your profile
To excel in the role of VP of Strategic Account Management at Promon, you should embody a blend of strategic vision, leadership excellence, and a results-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, ideally within IT/Software/SaaS environments or similar companies to Promon, and familiarity with IT security will be considered a significant advantage. This role demands strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively engage with clients' senior technical leaders, such as Heads of Development and Technical Infrastructure Leads.

We moreover imagine that you meet most, if not all, of the following qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in strategic sales or business development roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Experience with large global accounts.
  • Industry background, preferably in software sales and/or IT security.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field, with an MBA or equivalent experience being an advantage.
  • Experience in cybersecurity and/or SaaS.
