Category Manager
In this newly established role as Category Manager, you will cultivate strong partnerships with our customers and offer valuable insights into shoppers, consumers, and categories. Paulig is a global company, and you will be a part of an international team, where your responsibility will be to adapt and translates the global category strategy into the local plan, focusing on product assortment, channels, pricing, promotions, and placement to drive growth. You will provide shopper-centric advice and storytelling that inspires behaviour change and drives sales.

Key responsibilities and tasks:
  • Propose strategies to enhance the category and identify emerging trends and opportunities
  • Lead initiatives to improve customer relationships across categories for business success
  • Maximize category performance by identifying growth opportunities and creating compelling customer propositions
  • Use data analytics to optimize product assortments, pricing, and shelf placement for category growth and profitability
  • Lead promotion optimization to boost sales, brand visibility, and achieve strategic goals
  • Implement shopper-centric strategies to increase category visibility and optimize shelf space with local marketing teams
  • Contribute to new product development to meet evolving shopper and consumer needs

You may have experience from an international environment and enjoys working in a matrix organisation.

Knowledge, skills, behaviour, experiences
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or category management roles
  • Preferably holds a university degree in business administration or equivalent
  • Strong strategic and tactical business understanding
  • Skilled in structured and pragmatic problem-solving, competent in analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability as a strong team player with a collaborative approach towards peers and customers
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities, fluent in local language and English
